AI startup Mindlogic is significantly expanding its service domain by launching a generative AI-based information chatbot in university libraries. Starting with Seoul National University Central Library, Mindlogic presents a vision to go beyond the existing menu-based FAQ method and innovate library information accessibility with a natural language conversational interface.
The library information chatbot developed by Mindlogic allows users to ask questions naturally, as if conversing with a person, and the AI accurately understands the context to provide necessary information in a detailed and friendly manner. It covers a vast range of information, from simple loan and return procedures to operating hours, facility usage, and library event announcements. Particularly noteworthy is that even for complex queries like 'As an alumnus, can I borrow books?', the AI comprehensively guides users through alumnus membership registration procedures, costs, borrowing limits, restrictions, and relevant links. It even includes a function to suppress the generation of unreliable information (hallucinations), further enhancing the accuracy of information.
This chatbot, immediately accessible on the website without a separate app installation, provides all library users, including undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty, with an intuitive and efficient information search experience, maximizing accessibility.
Mindlogic currently supplies website information chatbots to 7 universities and plans to leverage the expansion of this library chatbot to accelerate the adoption of its AI solutions in more universities and public libraries. The strategy is to simultaneously achieve efficiency in information provision and user satisfaction through the construction of customized chatbots that reflect the characteristics of each institution and user demand.
Co-CEO Kim Jin-wook stated, "The utilization of AI in educational and public institutions, including libraries, is a core driving force that maximizes user convenience and enhances information accessibility." He promised continuous research and development to lead the AI transformation (AX) of university and public libraries and ensure Mindlogic's advanced AI technology can shine in each specialized environment.
Mindlogic, through various success stories such as Millie's Library Schopenhauer persona chatbot, Sookmyung Women's University and Sogang University multilingual website information chatbots, and lecture assistant chatbots, is proving itself a leader in the generative AI-based chatbot market and expanding the AI ecosystem.
