Art Meets Business: Mimyo Launches as a One-Stop Platform for Visual Art IP Innovation
'Mimyo', a platform poised to become a new link between visual art creators and businesses, has finally lifted its veil. Officially launched by Article21, 'Mimyo' focuses on supporting artists' creative activities and generating new value through collaborations with companies.
For artists, 'Mimyo' offers the opportunity to easily digitize their works through smart archiving features and showcase them constantly to the world. Registering a profile and artworks generates an individual page, effectively creating an online exhibition space. This also serves as a first step in protecting copyright by publicly announcing the act of creation. Furthermore, the automatic portfolio generation feature, designed through FGIs (Focus Group Interviews) with art industry professionals, will be a powerful practical tool when applying for exhibitions or open calls. Based on all of this, 'Mimyo' connects artists with various companies and brands for collaboration opportunities, helping them generate new revenue through their IP.
For companies and brands, 'Mimyo' allows exploration of a vast world of artists and artworks through an intuitive interface, providing IP recommendations and contract linkage services optimized for art collaborations. Beyond simple matching, it offers a one-stop solution covering the entire process from branded content planning to product development and distribution, helping realize differentiated brand storytelling and emotional marketing through ART IP.
Oh Areum, CEO of Article21, stated, "'Mimyo' is a platform that provides artists with a new revenue base and companies with high-quality storytelling assets." She expressed her expectation that 'Mimyo' would become a crucial intermediary as a technology-based hub connecting art and industry.
'Mimyo' also enhances communication by providing selected content, including that deeply illuminates artists and their world, and news about major exhibitions and events. In the second half of this year, it plans to sequentially launch , which is as special as an 'artwork' and more valuable than 'goods', and a for artists and fans, further increasing the platform's value.
Article21, a member company of the Art Korea Lab under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Management Support Center, is also actively exploring the potential for overseas expansion of ART IP based on 'Mimyo'. As part of this effort, it plans to showcase the aesthetics and technical skills of traditional crafts with national intangible cultural heritage holders in Dubai, UAE, this November, establishing a bridgehead for K-ART IP's global entry.
