At 'NRA Show 2025', North America's largest foodservice industry event, Monthly Kitchen Co., Ltd.'s 'Monki Table Order' solution successfully debuted, receiving keen interest from the local industry. This exhibition, held for four days from May 17th in Chicago, was attended by over 2,200 companies and 60,000 industry professionals. Monthly Kitchen participated as part of 'Seoul Food in Chicago,' supported by KOTRA and the Seoul Business Agency. Buyers from over 50 large restaurant chains in major U.S. cities like New York and Los Angeles successively visited the Monki booth, leading to over 20 contract consultations during the exhibition period. Discussions even progressed to MOUs for pilot introductions with key chain companies in the eastern and western U.S. In particular, its 'wireless all-in-one complete product' form, which allows immediate operation without installation work, left a deep impression on local buyers. An official from a Midwest regional franchise association highly praised it, stating, "As a solution with excellent usability and design in the nascent North American table ordering market, it will enable rapid widespread adoption in the U.S." Brighton Johnson, an operator of a New York-based restaurant chain, emphasized the multi-language support offered by its sophisticated complete product form amidst growing labor shortages and labor cost burdens, exclaiming, "It's innovative technology and design that I've never seen before in the U.S. market." This interest is not unrelated to the surging demand for automation in the North American foodservice industry. According to market research firm Grand View Research, the North American self-service kiosk market is projected to grow from approximately $11 billion in 2024 to about $20.5 billion in 2030, with an annual average growth rate of 10.7%. Furthermore, the National Restaurant Association reported that the proportion of labor costs for foodservice businesses has increased to an average of 33-35% of sales since COVID-19. Michael Brown, CEO of FSG, a Chicago-based foodservice consulting firm, diagnosed, "The demand for automation solutions to address high labor costs and labor shortages is rapidly increasing." Kim Hyuk-kyun, CEO of Monthly Kitchen Co., Ltd., stated his ambition, saying, "Since establishing our New York corporation in 2023, we have progressively localized our table order solution based on our local POS operation experience. With this exhibition as a stepping stone, we plan to fully expand our supply to major U.S. cities."
