Memebox Korea Posts First Half-Year Profit, ₩4.4 Billion Net Income

K-beauty brand Memebox (MBX) achieved remarkable results in the first half of 2025, recording a net profit of 4.4 billion KRW for the first time since the establishment of its Korean subsidiary. During the same period, Memebox's total revenue reached 16.2 billion KRW and its operating profit reached 1.7 billion KRW, clearly demonstrating the company's robust growth potential, along with the recent news of attracting 10.5 billion KRW in investment. Memebox, with its headquarters in the US and subsidiaries in Korea, Taiwan, and China, is elevating the status of K-beauty in the global market. Although the Korean subsidiary's share of total revenue is low, it has collaborated with top domestic manufacturers such as Cosmax and Kolmar to produce all products as 'Made in Korea', thereby maintaining the brand's unique quality and competitiveness. The recent turnaround to profitability for the Korean subsidiary, which had been operating at a loss with strategic support from the headquarters, is considered a clear testament to the outstanding potential and efficiency of the K-beauty production and operating system. CEO Ha Hyung-seok defined these results as "the beginning of a structural transformation, not just a short-term improvement," and emphasized that the Korean subsidiary will play an even more pivotal role as a key hub for global production and planning in the future. This signifies that after years of trial and error since its founding, a verified business model and a self-sustaining profit structure have finally been completed. Memebox has also strengthened its financial transparency through global audits by KPMG. The successful turnaround of the Korean subsidiary sends a positive signal to potential partners and talented individuals, indicating that Memebox stands on a solid foundation for sustainable growth. Memebox is now fully prepared for a new leap forward.
