AI-based IP integrated service company MarqVision has demonstrated rapid growth by surpassing $22 million (approximately KRW 30 billion) in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) approximately four years after its service launch. This is a crucial indicator demonstrating the sustainability and growth potential of subscription-based services. MarqVision achieved the remarkable feat of more than doubling its revenue size in just one year after reaching $10 million in ARR in Q1 of last year.
This phenomenal growth is the result of the synergy between the increasing demand from companies for brand protection against surging digital threats (such as counterfeit goods, unauthorized sales, illegal content, and brand impersonation) alongside the proliferation of generative AI, and MarqVision's strategic product direction. Since 2021, MarqVision has been providing services for detecting, analyzing, and sanctioning counterfeit goods and illegal content based on its proprietary AI and software. To overcome the manual and fragmented limitations of traditional IP services, MarqVision has advanced its IP protection solutions with AI-based automation and an all-in-one platform strategy.
Currently, MarqVision comprehensively supports customers' IP lifecycle through an integrated solution product line consisting of 'Marq AI', specialized in IP and brand protection; 'Marq Folio', which assists with global trademark applications and management; and 'Marq Law', which provides various offline investigation and enforcement services. Notably, throughout 2024, Marq AI sanctioned a total of 50.41 million brand infringement elements, marking a 66.5% increase compared to the previous year. Expanding beyond counterfeit goods to include illegal content in games and webtoons, as well as responding to corporate and celebrity impersonation, the company has proven its technological prowess with a high accuracy rate of 99.1%.
Based on these achievements, MarqVision continues its growth, roughly doubling its number of clients compared to the previous year. It has secured a broad customer base, including not only global leading brands such as LUSH and Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), but also rapidly growing domestic and international emerging brands like TIRTIR, Anua, and Malbon Golf.
MarqVision aims to achieve an ARR of $60 million by 2026 and $100 million by 2027. Based on its existing solutions, the company plans to progressively launch over 60 modular product lines covering the entire spectrum of IP services, including IP licensing, IP brand asset management, and IP creative generation, thereby evolving into an 'IP operating system for the AI era'.
Lee In-seop, CEO of MarqVision, stated, "In a rapidly changing digital environment, MarqVision will do its utmost to ensure that our AI-based integrated solutions safely protect our customers' IP assets and lead to tangible business results." He added, "We aim to lead the KRW 100 trillion global IP market with technological innovation and customer-centric services."
