Epop Soft's global English learning app 'Epop' conquers #1 in overall popularity on the Taiwan App Store!
Epop, the global version of Epop Soft's AI English learning app 'Mallyeoboka', has secured the #1 spot in overall popularity on the Taiwan Apple App Store, solidifying its strong presence in the global market.
Developed by Epop Soft, Epop is a word-based English learning app that builds on Mallyeoboka's successful learning system and has expanded into not only Chinese-speaking regions like Japan and Taiwan but also Spanish-speaking markets. In the Taiwanese market, in particular, it has rapidly grown since its launch in May, consistently maintaining a position within the top 10 in the education category on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
This upward trend led to a remarkable achievement on November 14th, when it surpassed formidable competitors such as global travel apps and generative AI apps to claim the #1 spot in overall popularity, following its #1 ranking in the education category on October 8th. Epop Soft attributes this success to a synergy of factors: Taiwan's high demand for English learning, comparable to Korea's, active marketing efforts including the discovery of online advertising channels, and users' explosive response to an app that effectively combines learning efficacy with engaging elements.
Currently, Epop is on the verge of reaching 300,000 downloads in Taiwan and is demonstrating its potential by consistently holding a top 3 position in the education app popularity rankings on app stores in other Chinese-speaking regions such as Hong Kong and Macau.
Kim Woo-jun, CEO of Epop Soft, stated, "Despite being word-based English learning apps, Mallyeoboka and Epop are receiving positive feedback from users both domestically and internationally," adding, "Next year, we will further enhance the quality and quantity of learning content and accelerate our expansion into the global market."
Meanwhile, the domestic version Mallyeoboka and the global version Epop are English learning apps created by former game developers, known for integrating gamification elements into education to induce high user engagement in learning. As a result, as of July this year, they have surpassed 8 million cumulative global downloads, providing an innovative English learning experience to users worldwide.
