Maesa, Lotte E&C Form Construction AI Twin Tech Partnership

Meissa, a leader in drone and satellite-based spatial analysis AI platforms, has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 2025 core support program. It will partner with Lotte E&C to develop an AI digital twin solution that will transform the future of construction sites. This is a government R&D program worth 117.9 billion won, a win-win model that addresses the on-site demands of large corporations with the innovative technologies of SMEs. Meissa's selection is considered a significant achievement, recognizing its technological prowess and market potential. The AI digital twin solution to be unveiled by Meissa is expected to become the eyes and brain of construction sites. Based on footage captured by drones and 360-degree cameras, it will build precise 2D and 3D models. It will then compare and analyze these with 2D drawings and 3D BIM data to instantly detect construction errors and accurately track project progress. It will integrate and manage on-site data, and be implemented with an AI-based intuitive user interface and automation features, making it easy for anyone to use. This innovative solution will elevate the precision of process management. It will also provide real-time data analysis and visualization environments to not only on-site managers but also head office decision-makers, supporting fast and accurate decision-making. The cooperative relationship is also noteworthy. Lotte E&C will verify the solution's effectiveness in actual construction sites and provide valuable feedback, while Meissa will be responsible for the core implementation of spatial information and AI technology. As Lotte E&C has already been utilizing the Meissa platform since 2023, this collaboration signifies not just a new beginning but the AI advancement of existing smart construction solutions. Meissa Director Na Bo-yeop stated, "We aim to expand beyond digital visualization and data analysis of construction sites into AI-based decision-making and prediction areas," adding, "Through close collaboration with Lotte E&C, we will build practical AI solutions that can be immediately utilized on site."
