GLEC, an innovative startup specializing in logistics carbon measurement, was honored with an Innovation Award at ‘CES 2026’ in recognition of its technological prowess. GLEC distinguished itself on the global stage by being selected as an 'Honoree' in the Supply Chain & Logistics category of the CES 2026 Innovation Awards for its ‘GLEC AI Tachograph (DTG)’.
The CES Innovation Awards are prestigious awards presented annually by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) to the most outstanding products based on their technological innovation and market viability.
GLEC's core technology, the 'GLEC AI Tachograph,' is an innovative solution that optimizes and integrates a massive 20-billion-parameter Large Language Model (LLM) into in-vehicle edge devices. By dramatically reducing the model size with 4-bit quantization technology, it enables real-time AI inference on edge devices. Through this, it precisely analyzes drivers' traffic situations and driving patterns, reducing accident risks by 20-40%, while also implementing precise carbon emission measurement in accordance with the ISO-14083 international standard.
Kang Deok-ho, the Chief Technology Officer, emphasized, "Unlike competitors who offer solutions limited to specific modes of transport, GLEC provides comprehensive services encompassing the entire 'Door-to-Door' logistics process. Furthermore, our API-based business model has the significant advantage of enabling continuous high-margin revenue generation with a single integration."
GLEC is also the first in Korea to pursue GLEC Tool certification from the Smart Freight Centre, an international logistics decarbonization organization, accelerating its efforts to meet global standards. This certification signifies compliance with international decarbonization standards required by global logistics companies.
The CES Innovation Award has also positively impacted GLEC's investment attraction. Its valuation has increased in the ongoing Pre-A investment round, and investment proposals have surged by more than threefold. Kim Eun-woo, the Chief Operating Officer, stated, "We are focusing on attracting strategic investors, such as logistics companies or shipping lines with global networks, to accelerate our entry into the global market." The secured investment will be fully allocated to global expansion, including establishing a North American entity, securing European partners, and expanding personnel. GLEC plans to conduct strategic discussions with major global logistics companies and vehicle manufacturers at CES in January 2026.
