Korean Startups Set Their Sights on the Global Stage! CNTTECH X Draper Startup House Korea Join Hands for a Global Leap CNTTECH, an accelerator specializing in early-stage investment, has partnered with Draper Startup House Korea, a global incubating hub, to fully embark on facilitating Korean startups' entry into the global market. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the two companies on the 24th is expected to be a turning point that strongly supports domestic startups' overseas expansion and investment attraction. CNTTECH, boasting the record for the highest number of startup investments in Korea for five consecutive years (117 cases, 21.5 billion KRW last year), plans to actively utilize Draper Startup House's global network (35 branches in 20 countries worldwide) based on its unique nurturing capabilities. Draper Startup House, founded by legendary Silicon Valley investor Tim Draper (an early investor in Hotmail, Skype, and Tesla), is a global hub for discovering and fostering promising startups. This agreement includes practical cooperation measures such as expanding global investment linkages for startups, fostering startups through expert networks, co-hosting competitions and programs, and establishing a joint investment network through fund formation. In particular, it focuses on accelerating entry into the North American, Asia-Pacific, and Singapore markets. Jeon Hwa-sung, CEO of CNTTECH, emphasized, "This agreement will be a significant turning point that promotes Korean startups' global expansion," adding, "We will actively help them gain competitiveness in the global market by combining the strengths of both companies." Lee Se-yong, CEO of Draper Startup House Korea, also stated, "We will create tangible results to ensure that promising Korean startups gain more opportunities on the global stage, including Silicon Valley." The two organizations will accelerate the creation of a global startup ecosystem through multifaceted cooperation, including joint discovery, support for investment attraction, and hosting global demo days, as well as attracting a Draper University branch campus to Korea and promoting domestic startup competitions.
