Kurly has partnered with Naver, setting a new milestone in the digital grocery market. 'Kurly N Mart,' which is garnering significant attention from the industry as it marks its first venture onto an external platform beyond its own web/app, has officially launched at the top of the Naver Plus Store's first page.
This collaboration is the result of the strategic alliance signed between the two companies and the formation of a joint task force team last April. Kurly N Mart has secured a large number of approximately 5,000 new product types it didn't previously handle, to satisfy the demand of customers seeking products for households of four or more people, large quantities, and good value for money. It plans to continuously expand its product categories, broadening its grocery spectrum beyond fresh food to include household and kitchen goods.
The delivery service will be the same as on the Kurly app: orders placed before 11 PM will be received via "Saetbyeol Delivery" (dawn delivery) the following morning. Naver Plus membership members can enjoy free delivery benefits for purchases over 20,000 won, experiencing premium services equivalent to those of Kurly Members Core members.
This partnership encompasses not just the expansion of sales channels but also logistics synergy. Kurly Nextmile has joined the Naver Fulfillment Alliance (NFA) and has begun to fully implement logistics efficiency by undertaking dawn delivery for some products on Naver Smart Store and Brand Store.
Both companies anticipate strong synergy through this collaboration. Kurly's unique curation capabilities, exclusive products, and stable in-house logistics infrastructure, combined with Naver's extensive customer base data, search environment, advanced technology, and digital marketing capabilities, are expected to revolutionize the customer experience. This is projected to not only increase logistics infrastructure utilization and reduce delivery costs due to increased order volume but also strengthen market dominance through joint marketing.
Kim Seul-ah, CEO of Kurly, stated, "Kurly N Mart will offer a differentiated customer experience by combining Kurly's curation and Saetbyeol Delivery with Naver's technology and marketing capabilities," and emphasized, "We anticipate the company's continuous growth through the influx of new customers via Naver and improved logistics efficiency."
