Krafton to Unveil 'PUBG Ally' AI Companion Early 2026

Krafton, in partnership with NVIDIA, has unveiled the innovative AI cooperative character ‘PUBG Ally’! Ally, first showcased at the ‘GeForce Gamer Festival’ on May 30th, is a ‘Co-Playable Character (CPC)’ that breaks the mold of existing games. Powered by NVIDIA ACE technology-based on-device SLM, it's a futuristic companion that goes beyond a simple NPC, actively communicating and cooperating with players. Ally’s most significant feature is **cooperative and active gameplay**. It discusses strategies with users and flexibly adapts its play style to the situation. It provides active support, such as finding items or helping fallen teammates. It independently judges and plans what actions to take, including farming, combat, and survival, and flexibly modifies tactics. The second feature is **natural voice conversation**. It perfectly understands and converses about PUBG terminology, map information, and item pros and cons, supporting three languages: Korean, English, and Chinese. Thanks to on-device operation, it can communicate quickly without latency, enhancing immersion. Users will first encounter an experimental version of ‘PUBG Ally’ in early 2026 at the PUBG Arcade. Krafton plans to actively gather user feedback before commercialization and continuously advance Ally through a long-term partnership with NVIDIA. This unveiling of Ally is part of Krafton’s AI strategy, following its declaration of transitioning into an ‘AI First’ company. Centered on Agentic AI, it aims to drive AI workflow automation, R&D, and the enhancement of in-game AI services, with the ambition to lead innovation in the global game industry through cooperation with NVIDIA.
