Krafton is accelerating its entry into India, one of the world's largest game markets, to emerge as a key player. By acquiring management rights of 'Nautilus Mobile', a leader in India's mobile cricket game market, it has been incorporated as the first subsidiary of Krafton India. This acquisition, with a total investment of 13.75 million dollars (approximately 20.2 billion KRW), demonstrates Krafton's strong commitment to the Indian market. Established in 2013, Nautilus Mobile developed 'Real Cricket', the most beloved mobile cricket game series in India, and holds a unique position locally, having surpassed 250 million cumulative downloads and formed official partnerships with Indian Premier League (IPL) teams. Through this acquisition, Krafton is pursuing a two-track strategy: strengthening its in-house game development capabilities while simultaneously fostering the growth of the Indian game development ecosystem. The combination of Nautilus Mobile's expertise in sports games and Krafton's global capabilities and technological prowess is expected to create explosive synergy, with plans to expand its business beyond India into the global market. Anuj Mankar, CEO of Nautilus Mobile, expressed his delight in joining Krafton India, stating that he would elevate the 'Real Cricket' franchise's status and explore new opportunities in the global market, leveraging Krafton's global competitiveness and robust network. Hyunil Sohn, CEO of Krafton India, praised this acquisition as "the cornerstone of a long-term vision to cultivate India into a world-class game development hub," and pledged to deliver world-class gaming experiences to users in India and worldwide through close collaboration with Nautilus Mobile. The 'Real Cricket' series boasts a diverse lineup, including its latest titles 'Real Cricket 24' and 'Real Cricket 22', as well as 'Real Cricket GO', optimized for low-spec mobile environments. Through this acquisition, its global competitiveness is expected to be further strengthened.
