KOSPO-NIC Discuss Korea-Vietnam Startup Ecosystem Exchange and Global Expansion The Korea Startup Forum (KOSPO), a key player in the Korean startup ecosystem, has joined hands with the National Innovation Center of Vietnam (NIC) to explore concrete cooperation measures for startup exchange and global expansion between the two countries. This meeting, held on the morning of the 11th at MARU180 in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, was attended by key officials from both sides, including KOSPO Executive Director Choi Ji-young and NIC Director Vu Quoc Huy, who engaged in in-depth discussions. The core agenda of the meeting was to promote active exchange between Korean and Vietnamese startups and to explore ways for their joint expansion into a broader global ecosystem. KOSPO introduced Korea's representative startup festival 'COMEUP' and its overseas expansion support program 'KOSPO Business Trip,' showcasing the dynamism of the Korean startup ecosystem. NIC expressed great interest in Korea's investment and nurturing policies and was shared successful cases of Korean startups entering Vietnam, such as YesFuture's platform for foreign students and workers, 'VIVISA'. NIC announced its plan to pursue practical exchanges in the future, including proposing customized cooperation programs for Korean startups and inviting them to major local events and programs. This meeting garnered even more attention as it coincided with the bilateral summit held on the same day. Choi Ji-young, Executive Director of KOSPO, emphasized that this cooperation would be "an important opportunity to build exchange programs where Korean and Vietnamese startups can grow together," expressing the ambition to accelerate the entry of Korean startups into the ASEAN market and create a robust structure for attracting global startups to the domestic market. Through these discussions, the startup ecosystems of both countries are expected to secure new growth engines and expand opportunities for global expansion.
