Korea Deep Learning Showcases 'Deep Agent,' Manufacturing-Specialized AI Document Automation
Korea Deep Learning is introducing 'Deep Agent for Manufacturing,' an AI solution poised to revolutionize the processing of unstructured documents, a persistent challenge in manufacturing sites. This solution automatically recognizes complex manufacturing documents such as work orders, process abnormality reports, and equipment checklists, extracting key information without being constrained by specific forms. Thanks to its VLM (Vision-Language Model) technology, trained on over 400 million documents, it eliminates the need for template configuration or repetitive learning, unlike traditional OCR. Its key feature is the immediate comprehension of the overall context and meaning of documents. Notably, it accurately analyzes manufacturing-specific terminology such as 'C/T' in injection molding processes and 'NG judgment' in inspection processes, along with handwritten notes, tables, and information within images, all at once, providing efficiency for integration with systems like ERP. Developed based on extensive field experience, this solution boasts real-world success stories, including ERP integration for quotes and purchase orders for steel frame and piping companies, and the structuring of multilingual mixed handwritten documents for textile companies. This marks the first step in the 'Deep Agent for' series, which is set to expand into various industries such as finance and logistics, and it supports flexible deployment methods including API, on-premise, and SaaS. CEO Kim Ji-hyun emphasized this as "a document intelligence solution that goes beyond simple OCR to understand documents and support subsequent tasks," heralding a new beginning for document AI optimized for industry-specific practical applications.
