Kim Dong-ho, CEO of Korea Credit Data (KCD), has been named to the World Economic Forum's (WEF) list of 'Young Global Leaders (YGL) for 2025', officially recognizing his innovative vision and leadership on the global stage. As the only Korean among the 116 YGLs selected for 2025, this recognition is even more significant as it simultaneously proves his global entrepreneurial spirit and outstanding management innovation capabilities in the business sector.
From the early days of his startup, CEO Kim has led data-driven management for 1.7 million small business owners nationwide through 'Cashnote', enhancing financial transparency and efficiency. Furthermore, under the grand vision of 'the first bank for small business owners', he is leading the Korea SOHO Bank consortium, playing a key role in expanding financial inclusivity and accelerating innovation in South Korea's finance sector.
Over the next three years, as part of the YGL program, he plans to participate in academic modules and immersive leadership programs at leading educational institutions worldwide, and actively engage in major global events of the World Economic Forum, further strengthening his global leadership capabilities.
The WEF, well-known for the 'Davos Forum' where political and business leaders from around the world gather in Davos, Switzerland, to discuss socio-economic issues, annually selects promising next-generation individuals under the age of 38 as YGLs. One can infer the prestige of the YGL title by looking at the profiles of past alumni. Global business titans such as Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI; Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google; Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta; and Jack Ma, Chairman of Alibaba, have been named, as well as political leaders like former UK Prime Minister James Cameron and former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Domestically, figures such as Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group; Lee Hae-jin, Chairman of Naver; and Lee Seung-gun, CEO of Viva Republica, have been selected, making CEO Kim Dong-ho's current selection an opportunity to once again solidify his vision and potential.
