Kodit: Jeju-Global Business Economic Cooperation Policy Meeting

The Global Policy Research Institute of Codit, an AI-based legal and policy platform company, recently invited Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Governor Oh Young-hun and successfully hosted a business meeting with major domestic and international companies. Representatives and officials from 25 global companies, including Netflix, TikTok, Airbnb, Expedia, and Roche Diagnostics Korea, attended and graced the event. This meeting was organized in conjunction with key policy agendas such as Jeju's energy transition and the establishment of an AI and digital ecosystem, to explore opportunities for cooperation between the region and businesses and to continue substantive discussions. In his keynote speech, Governor Oh Young-hun presented the vision of 'Jeju leaping forward as a global business hub,' and based on Jeju's potential and leading policies such as the AI and digital transformation and support projects for fostering listed companies, he discussed ways to establish sustainable cooperation models, including joint research and pilot projects with companies. During an in-depth discussion with Hong Ik-pyo, Senior Advisor at Codit, global cooperation strategies between Jeju and businesses were covered, and companies shared on-site regulatory issues, enhancing mutual understanding. Jeong Ji-eun, CEO of Codit, promised continuous support to help companies expand their global networks and discover new opportunities by utilizing Jeju's various policy strengths, such as its green bio-industry and investment promotion zones. Meanwhile, Codit's Global Policy Research Institute will continue to actively assist companies in responding to changing regulatory environments through regular seminars inviting high-level policy experts, strengthening its global presence by acquiring US patents, providing legislative data to overseas research institutions, and publishing issue papers analyzing major industrial policies such as ESG and AI.
