KISED Achieves Top Grade in Win-Win Cooperation Assessment

## Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development Achieves 'Outstanding' Grade in Public Institutions' Shared Growth Evaluation! **A Historic Achievement! KISED Achieves the Highest Grade, 'Outstanding,' in Shared Growth Evaluation** Dedicated efforts for win-win cooperation with startups have finally shone through. In the "2024 Public Institutions Shared Growth Evaluation," organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) clinched the long-awaited 'Outstanding' grade, standing tall as an institution leading the win-win culture across the entire corporate ecosystem. The Public Institutions Shared Growth Evaluation is conducted annually to spread a win-win culture through the role of public institutions, and is evaluated across five grades: Outstanding, Excellent, Good, Average, and Improvement. Based on its overwhelming performance in this evaluation, KISED set an unprecedented record by being the first public institution to achieve the 'Outstanding' grade since the evaluation's inception. Such outstanding achievements are the fruit of KISED's consistently pursued innovative win-win policies. It supported the growth of SMEs and startups by establishing win-win cooperation funds and actively assisted local SMEs and startups in opening up public sales channels. Furthermore, by mandating Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) in open innovation projects, it has fostered an environment of technology protection and fair cooperation, and has made multi-faceted efforts to spread a practical win-win culture. Yoo Jong-pil, President of KISED, emphasized that this achievement is "the result of sincere efforts for shared growth with startups" and stated that KISED will continue to set an example and play a leading role in win-win cooperation. In particular, this evaluation clearly demonstrates KISED's unique development. Among the 134 public institutions that participated in the evaluation, the fact that KISED is the only institution to have achieved 'Outstanding' through a two-step grade increase proves not just the attainment of the highest grade, but also overwhelming development and growth. KISED, taking this 'Outstanding' grade award as an opportunity, is expected to open new horizons for the healthy development and shared growth of Korea's startup ecosystem.
