Senior total care platform Caredoc is accelerating the expansion of its community-based care infrastructure by opening one ‘Care Home’ residential and nursing facility and two ‘Nursing Home’ facilities in June. This proactive move aims to address the rapidly increasing demand for elderly care. This expansion includes a total of three locations: Nursing Home Songchu Village Branch and Okjeong City Branch in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, and Care Home Siheung Noble Hill Branch in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province. Each facility is designed to comprehensively support the physical and emotional needs of its residents based on professional care capabilities. The newly opening Nursing Home Songchu Village Branch has a capacity of 47 residents, primarily featuring 1-2 person rooms. A director who is a former nurse resides 24 hours a day and is responsible for the professional management of the entire facility. It is equipped with physical therapy rooms and exercise rehabilitation rooms, offering Walkmate-based rehabilitation programs and 1:1 customized care from occupational therapists, helping residents recover and maintain their functions. Nursing Home Okjeong City Branch is a hotel-style nursing facility with a capacity of 88 residents, where rehabilitation therapists and nurses reside and provide personalized rehabilitation and nursing services. It supports residents in leading active and comfortable lives through diverse ancillary facilities such as a rooftop garden, jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), and foot bath rooms. Care Home Siheung Noble Hill Branch, aiming to be an urban senior town, is a 6-story facility with a capacity of 49 residents, focusing on independent living care for healthy seniors. Professional staff provide care and medication management, and a 24-hour emergency response system operates as standard. It boasts a wealth of ancillary facilities including healthcare programs centered on physical therapy and exercise rehabilitation, a jjimjilbang, and program rooms. All three branches have established close cooperation systems with nearby hospitals, enhancing medical accessibility through visiting doctor consultations twice a month. Furthermore, a notable feature is the meticulous consideration for residents' emotional satisfaction, such as operating a ‘Care Salon’ where professional hair designers visit to provide beauty services. Taking this expansion as an opportunity, Caredoc plans to systematically build a nationwide network of Care Homes and Nursing Homes, and promote the functional differentiation of facilities tailored to regional characteristics and demands. Ultimately, it aims to establish a standardized corporate-style nursing infrastructure beyond the existing individually operated nursing market, with the grand goal of securing 1,000 senior residential facilities nationwide by 2030. Park Jaebyeong, CEO of Caredoc, stated, "These new openings are a proactive response to alleviate the burden of caregiving and nursing associated with an aging society. The aim is to provide a stable and dignified care environment for more seniors. Caredoc will continue to strive for the expansion of senior housing solutions, focusing on high-quality residential and nursing services."
