At a special event hosted by Kakao Ventures, technology companies leading innovation in the global logistics market gathered to share their future visions. At this brown bag meeting, held under the theme of 'KV Logistics Family Heading Global,' Kakao Ventures' representative portfolio companies, integrated logistics platform Techtaka and robot automation company Flotic, attracted attention by sharing their technological innovations and global visions.
Shin Jeong-ho, Senior Investment Manager at Kakao Ventures, emphasized that advanced technologies such as AI, robotics, and IoT are shaking up the entire logistics value chain, and Kakao Ventures has been leading this change for the past decade.
Yang Soo-young, CEO of Techtaka, the first presenter, presented technology as the key to solving the complex challenges of global fulfillment amidst the transition to the D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) era. Techtaka's one-stop integrated logistics platform, 'Argo,' optimizes order, delivery, and inventory management in real-time using AI algorithms. Having already established a U.S. subsidiary and secured two logistics centers in Los Angeles, Techtaka is successfully penetrating the North American market through global platforms like Amazon and TikTok Shop. CEO Yang expressed his ambition to maximize client efficiency by integrating fragmented systems and secure global competitiveness at reasonable prices.
Following this, Lee Se-hyung, Vice President of Flotic, showcased the future of logistics automation by introducing 'FloRa,' a platform for the introduction and operation of robots in logistics centers. 'FloRa,' which applies an AI-based VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model, innovates all aspects of robot operation, from visual information recognition to automatic data analysis and real-time task optimization. Recently, Flotic obtained FCC certification required for U.S. market entry and is accelerating its global market expansion into countries like the U.S. and Japan through collaboration with Boston-based robot AI startup Zordi. Vice President Lee conveyed their strategy to flexibly and rapidly respond to each logistics center's environment and widely disseminate AI automation solutions.
In particular, Techtaka and Flotic signed an agreement in January for a demonstration project to enhance logistics productivity using autonomous robots, promising to strengthen smart logistics competitiveness through mutual cooperation. Beyond these, Kakao Ventures' 'Logistics Family,' which includes Contoro Robotics (robot arm technology) and Mars Auto (autonomous trucks), is redefining the future of the logistics industry with advanced technology and continuously innovating on the global stage. Kakao Ventures plans to continue discovering and supporting companies that will open new horizons for the global logistics system.
