Zigbang, a leading proptech company in Korea, has declared a password-free future and unveiled its innovative AI lobby phone, 'Alpha'. Alpha, Zigbang's second passwordless device following the AI door lock 'Haven' launched last January, is expected to completely change the way common entrances are opened and closed. There is no longer a need to memorize passwords or tag cards. Alpha combines a sophisticated, display-centric circular design with facial recognition technology, achieving both aesthetic appeal and convenience. It has also resolved the chronic security issue of password leaks common with existing lobby phones. Security has been further strengthened through AI biometric authentication and integration with a dedicated smartphone app, and the risk of personal information leakage has been completely blocked by applying industry-leading AI facial and voice recognition technology along with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) based asymmetric encryption. Residents can easily enter using only facial recognition or by utilizing the mobile key tag feature within the 'Zigbang Smart Home App'. For visitors, if they state their building and unit number into the lobby phone, the AI recognizes their voice and immediately connects to the resident's smartphone app, providing video call and remote door opening functions. It is also possible to issue QR passes or temporary passwords by specifying a certain period or time. Alpha goes beyond being a simple lobby phone, offering an integrated platform centered around the 'Zigbang Smart Home App' that encompasses all aspects of daily life within the complex. Users can enjoy various convenience features such as checking announcements, submitting complaints, reserving community facilities, smart parking, and electronic voting all within a single app, eliminating the hassle of switching between multiple apps. This app is designed as an AIoT platform that links with various smart devices, in addition to Zigbang's AI door locks and lobby phones. Zigbang plans to gradually expand AI-based personalized lifestyle services, such as notifications for a child's delayed return home, adjusting indoor temperatures according to commuting times, and recommending exercises based on health status. With the launch of Alpha, Zigbang has officially begun its foray into the B2B smart home market. The first installation has been completed in an apartment complex in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and the installed complexes will also be provided with a cloud-based dedicated solution for administrators. This enables resident and regular visitor management, remote A/S, and real-time security updates, significantly improving management efficiency and security. Furthermore, Zigbang is developing an 'AI Guard Post' capable of 24-hour response. This is an innovative system where, in the absence of security personnel, AI responds to residents and visitors by voice, automatically stores all conversations and entry/exit records, allowing complex administrators to check them in real-time. Ahn Sung-woo, CEO of Zigbang, emphasized, "Alpha is an innovative solution for apartment building entry security," adding, "Zigbang will continue to satisfy both residents and administrators with AIoT-based smart home services." The convenient and secure smart home future envisioned by Zigbang is highly anticipated.
