Two promising startups discovered by the Jeju Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (hereinafter Jeju CCEI) received keen attention at a nationwide investment attraction event. At the 'Deep Tech AI Conference: 2025 Startup-BuS Joint IR' held on the 10th at Pangyo Startup Zone in Gyeonggi Province, 'Megaplan' and 'CareSIX' successfully completed their pitches in front of investors. Megaplan presented an innovative technology for mass producing live mackerel for sashimi using artificial spawning technology, while CareSIX showcased its BCG matching solution specialized in measuring pet biometric signals, leaving a deep impression. These companies were meticulously selected through Jeju CCEI's 'M-JOIN' monthly IR and seed money investment programs, and received positive evaluations from investment review committee members on-site. Hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, this event, co-organized by the Jeju, Gyeonggi, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan Centers for Creative Economy & Innovation and the Association of Centers for Creative Economy & Innovation, featured a diverse program including lectures by global companies, deep tech IRs, and a generative AI talk concert. In particular, Jeju CCEI's 'Startup-BuS' program focuses on fostering deep tech startups established within the last 7 years in the fields of aerospace, eco-friendly energy, and AI/big data. It selects preliminary companies weekly through 'W-JOIN' and promising companies monthly through 'M-JOIN', and upon final selection, provides opportunities to participate in nationwide joint IRs and receive investment reviews from Jeju CCEI. If investment attraction is successful this year, even a recommendation for TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup Korea) can be considered, which will be a greater leap forward opportunity for participating companies. Interested companies can apply at any time through the Jeju CCEI website. The 'Startup-BuS' program, launched by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups last May, is a national initiative that provides one-stop support for regional deep tech startups, from early stages to follow-up investment linkages. In its pilot operation last year, five centers successfully attracted 29.6 billion won in investment, and this year, it has expanded to a total of eight centers, including Jeju, thereby revitalizing the regional innovation ecosystem. Attention is drawn to Jeju CCEI's efforts for the continuous growth of promising startups.
