The Jeju Center for Creative Economy & Innovation opened a special venue for business growth for 28 companies selected for the 2025 pre-startup package. The 'BM Advancement Workshop & Networking Meetup Day,' held over two days starting on the 16th at Ocean Suites Jeju Hotel in Jeju City, was designed to maximize the potential of the selected companies and support their successful scale-up. The first day focused on business model (BM) advancement. Participants learned customer definition and target analysis know-how with experts, and refined their own business models through group-based self-diagnosis of business plans and practical exercises in business model concretization. It was a valuable time to acquire practical business operation know-how, including setting customized performance indicators. The second day saw a vibrant networking platform unfold. Through lectures and mini-talk sessions by pre-startup companies, and free matching networks, participants shared ideas and explored opportunities for collaboration. Notably, Kim Min-seok, CEO of Shinji Games, Lee Hang-young, CEO of Keunsamchon Company, and Go Dong-woo, CEO of Island064, who wrote success stories for the 2021 and 2023 pre-startup packages, attended and generously shared their vivid experiences and know-how, providing valuable advice for the future. The 28 selected companies are those with innovative technology startup items linked to Jeju's strategic industries. They will receive approximately 20 million KRW to concretize their initial business models and produce Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), with the opportunity to receive up to an additional 40 million KRW based on future performance. The Jeju Center for Creative Economy & Innovation will continue to act as a strong supporter, helping them grow into successful startups that represent South Korea beyond Jeju.
