## Innovative Child Rehabilitation App, Jamjam Therapeutics, Selected as Top Performer in 'Changgu Program Season 7'! Teaming Up with Pinkfong to Usher in the 'Theratainment' Era Google Play, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) announced the 100 participating companies for 'Changgu Program Season 7,' a public-private partnership program designed to foster the growth of domestic mobile app and game startups. Notably, in this season, Jamjam Therapeutics, which developed a groundbreaking fine motor skill rehabilitation app for children with developmental delays, achieved the remarkable feat of securing the prestigious first place and being selected as the top startup. The 'Changgu Program,' named after 'Chang' (창, meaning startup/creation) from 'Changup' (창업, startup) and 'Gu' (구) from Google Play, has been Korea's leading startup nurturing program since its launch in 2019, discovering promising startups and providing comprehensive support across content enhancement, business expansion, and global market entry. Jamjam Therapeutics, which received the highest evaluation, earned high praise from the judges for 'Jamjam400,' a game-based rehabilitation app designed for children struggling with hand use due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, and developmental disorders. This app has gained attention as an innovative solution that helps children enjoy rehabilitation exercises as if they were playing. Particularly noteworthy is that Jamjam Therapeutics has partnered with the global family entertainment company, The Pinkfong Company, to open up new horizons. In July, they are set to launch a child rehabilitation therapy game utilizing the IP of the popular animation series 'Pinkfong Wonderstar.' This introduces a new concept called 'Theratainment,' which combines rehabilitation therapy and entertainment, and is expected to provide psychological stability and positive rehabilitation experiences for children with disabilities. Based on the sophisticated hand movement recognition Artificial Intelligence (AI) model of the existing 'Jamjam400,' the new game will feature themes with characters and 52 episodes centered on healthy lifestyle habits. Without special equipment, children can consistently enjoy rehabilitation games at home through machine learning-based motion recognition technology. This is expected to become a 'parent-led therapy' solution, featuring characters children love, for caregivers looking for 'fine motor stimulation toys' or 'sensory integration training.' Practical support includes monetization and marketing strategy seminars, Google's latest technology workshops, investor networking events, cloud credit provisions, and VC office hours. Furthermore, AI and machine learning-based startups will be given a special opportunity for priority selection into the 'Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First' program.
