Hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Creative Economy Innovation Center, and operated by The Invention Lab, the '2025 Youth Overseas Expansion Base Support Project' (Cheongjingi Project) has successfully concluded its local programs in Malaysia and Vietnam, providing a solid stepping stone for Incheon's young startup companies to make a global leap. This year, 25 promising young startup companies were selected and provided with various essential supports for overseas expansion, including local partnership building, market validation, and business meetings.
The Malaysia program was held on October 22nd, in conjunction with 'FutureX Connect' in Kuala Lumpur. The five participating companies pitched their innovative ideas in front of local investors and partners, garnering significant interest. Mythril and RobiGo participated in a panel discussion, sharing their insights. Notably, The Invention Lab and the participating companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sunway iLabs, laying a strong foundation for cooperation to enter the Malaysian market.
Following this, the Vietnam program, held from October 23rd to 25th in Ho Chi Minh City, provided customized support by dividing companies into Track1 (Challenger) with 10 companies and Track2 (Rookie) with 10 companies, according to their growth stage. Track1 participating companies opened pop-up stores linked to K-culture content in the Sun Avenue area of District 2, and vividly conveyed the appeal of their products by utilizing live streaming with local influencers. The pop-up stores, operated from October 24th to 25th, provided an opportunity to receive direct responses and valuable feedback from approximately 200 local consumers. Meanwhile, Track2 participating companies directly experienced Vietnam's dynamic startup ecosystem through in-depth market research and company visits, establishing a practical foundation for successful local establishment.
Kim Jin-young, CEO of The Invention Lab, commented, "Through this local program, young Incheon entrepreneurs gained a valuable opportunity to confirm their business potential and expand global partnerships," and expressed his ambition to "further strengthen global accelerating support to generate sustainable results in overseas markets." The Cheongjingi Project will continue to provide unwavering support to help Incheon's young startup companies advance onto the world stage and conduct successful global businesses.
