BiiG WAVE, an investment attraction platform jointly operated by the Incheon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation and Incheon Metropolitan City, has finalized the selection of five innovative startups to lead its 2025 second-half program, signaling yet another successful wave.
A total of 34 companies applied for this recruitment, resulting in a fierce competition ratio of 7:1. After written and presentation evaluations, companies with high investment growth potential and experience in collaborating with large corporations were carefully selected. Notably, many of the selected companies have already proven their technological capabilities and marketability through open innovation with leading domestic corporations such as KT, Korean Air, Hansol PNS, and Kakao Mobility, drawing even more attention. Some companies have already demonstrated market viability through joint service launches with large corporations.
The selected startups showcase unique technologies in the bio·healthcare, AI, and deep tech sectors. They include 'Apllaze,' a complex data-based content curation solution; 'DVDLAB,' which innovates corporate research culture; 'Aiforpet,' a veterinary AI-based real-time pet health analysis solution; 'Augmented Intelligence,' an AI-based digital innovation platform for 2D legacy aviation manuals; and 'Intelliz,' a cloud-based machine vision platform for production line defect inspection.
These companies will participate in a phased program starting September 6th, including professional consulting-based corporate diagnostics, IR capability enhancement training, and investment networking days. They will also receive direct and indirect investment opportunities, including funds operated by the Incheon Center, laying the groundwork for explosive growth.
Lee Han-seop, CEO of the Incheon Center, stated that "directly introducing companies whose technological and market viability has been proven through collaboration with large corporations to investors holds great significance," and announced plans to strengthen investment support for the growth of innovative startups.
BiiG WAVE, based on the 1 trillion won Incheon BiiG WAVE Fund jointly established by Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, has discovered 104 startups to date, achieving approximately 150 billion won in investment results and establishing itself as a leading investment attraction platform in Korea. It continues to expand its business areas through private IRs, global IRs, and more, leading Korea's innovation ecosystem.
