I'mweb, a brand builder opening a new chapter in digital business, achieved sales of 25.5 billion KRW in 2024, growing by 27% compared to the previous year and setting an all-time high record. This goes beyond mere numbers; it is a strong testament in the market to I'mweb's value in lowering the barrier to website creation and supporting business growth.
First introduced in 2016 as a 'no-code web builder' that allowed anyone to create a website without coding, I'mweb quickly led the popularization of web creation. Beyond being a simple website building tool, it has now evolved into an 'integrated brand builder' encompassing commerce and marketing, maintaining a consistent positive profit margin throughout most of its business operations.
The expansion of the platform's reach is also remarkable. Currently, nearly 900,000 brands have embarked on their online journey through I'mweb, and the cumulative transaction value they have generated has far exceeded 5 trillion KRW. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that it surpassed 5 trillion KRW in just nine months after reaching 4 trillion KRW. In 2024 alone, 220,000 new sites opened, showing approximately double the growth compared to three years ago, demonstrating the vibrant dynamism of the I'mweb ecosystem.
Behind this stable growth lies a robust revenue structure centered on 'recurring revenue'. Thanks to a business model based on site subscription fees, as of 2024, the Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) reached approximately 14 billion KRW, accounting for over half of the total revenue. This is I'mweb's core competitiveness, ensuring sustainable growth unshaken by external volatility.
The recent trend in the e-commerce market is the D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) owned store model, which can simultaneously achieve 'profitability' and 'flexibility'. I'mweb has accurately read this trend and further lowered the barrier to building owned stores through its intuitive builder. It continuously enhances commerce features and integrates marketing solutions such as advertising and CRM, along with various additional services, providing comprehensive support for brands to operate their owned stores more efficiently and expand their businesses.
I'mweb CEO Lee Soo-mo stated, "We have been dedicated to creating an environment where anyone can easily build and grow their own brand, even without knowledge of coding, design, or marketing." He emphasized, "This performance proves that our aspirations align with real market needs, leading to successful outcomes." He then presented a future vision, saying, "Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen a robust infrastructure and rich ecosystem that enables brands to grow autonomously."
