DaliMaker, led by CEO Kang Ho-san, Wins Gyeongsangnam-do Governor's Award for its Innovative Local Workcation 'Dooreundureun'
DaliMaker, a local startup led by CEO Kang Ho-san that brings new vitality to the Gyeongnam region, has been honored with the Gyeongsangnam-do Governor's Award in recognition of its innovative achievements. Selected as an excellent company at the ‘2025 Gyeongnam Resource-Linked Local Startup Revitalization Support Project Performance Sharing Session’ held on the 3rd in the Masan Free Trade Zone, DaliMaker has firmly established itself as a successful model contributing to local economic revitalization and population inflow.
The event was successfully held with about 50 attendees, including officials from Gyeongsangnam-do, Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center, accelerator Krypton, and Series Ventures. This support project is a program focused on promoting sustainable regional growth by selecting 27 startups in Gyeongnam's population decline and interest areas, and providing them with professional consulting from private planners, practical education, and investment attraction support.
DaliMaker's core service is the childcare family workcation 'Dooreundureun.' 'Dooreundureun,' which presents a new travel trend where work and childcare coexist beyond mere rest, has been evaluated as making a significant contribution to increasing the local residential population and vitalizing the tourism economy by successfully attracting family-unit staycation tourists. This very point is the decisive background for receiving this Gyeongsangnam-do Governor's Award.
The tangible achievements are also remarkable. During the project period, DaliMaker achieved an explosive sales growth of 180% compared to the previous year and contributed to local job creation by generating 3 new employments. Furthermore, to expand its services, it established a robust cooperation system with 23 partners, aiming to train and co-develop 'teaching workcationers,' and demonstrated its strength by significantly expanding its service areas to 6 locations. Having previously been selected as a promising investment company at the 'Southwest Impact Demoday,' their potential has already been proven on several occasions.
CEO Kang Ho-san shared his thoughts on the award, emphasizing that "this year, we successfully expanded our service areas to Tongyeong and Namhae, achieving significant results." He then revealed his grand ambition, stating, "Next year, we plan to further broaden our business scope by focusing on population-decline areas as key hubs, and actively revitalize workcation projects linked with local government and corporate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies, thereby realizing the value of regional win-win cooperation." DaliMaker's steps are emerging as a new hope for overcoming the crisis of regional disappearance.
