A special meeting for synergy between innovative startups and large corporations has taken place. Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (Gyeonggi CCEI) successfully hosted the '2025 Startup Leap Package LG Electronics Track Meetup Day' on the 1st, kicking off the event. Approximately 40 people, including LG Electronics Managing Director Kang Sung-jin, officials from both sides, and executives and employees of the selected companies, attended this event. It was a meaningful time where LG Electronics and the selected companies shared business models and collaboration goals, and jointly explored future growth engines. The Startup Leap Package, organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), is a key program that supports the scale-up of companies in their growth phase (3-7 years after establishment). Gyeonggi CCEI selected a total of 46 companies through the 2025 package, demonstrating its strength in attracting excellent companies with over 10 billion KRW in annual sales and Series B funding, especially by operating two large corporation collaboration tracks. Furthermore, it supports multi-faceted growth by driving startups to secure parent funds through investment-linked tracks. LG Electronics, a leading player in the large corporation collaboration track, is actively engaged in open innovation through 'STUDIO341,' and this year, it plans to deeply support the customer journey of startups in collaboration with Gyeonggi CCEI. Selected startups will have the opportunity to create tangible results by working closely with LG Electronics' HS (Home Appliance Solutions) and MS (Media Entertainment Solutions) business divisions for a remarkable 10 months. An official from Gyeonggi CCEI emphasized, "Beyond simple financial support, we will provide full-fledged assistance through close collaboration between professional accelerators and LG Electronics' business divisions, enabling startups to build successful collaboration models and establish themselves in the market." Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Gyeonggi CCEI is solidifying its role as a true 'global unicorn startup hub' by discovering promising innovative startups, providing customized accelerating, facilitating open innovation with large and medium-sized enterprises, and supporting global market entry. This collaboration with LG Electronics will be a shining milestone in that journey.
