The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (GCEI) has laid a significant foundation for innovative startups to make a global leap. On the 12th, the '2025 Startup Growth Technology Development Didimdol Global R&D Program Launch Ceremony' was successfully held at the Pangyo Startup Zone, announcing a new beginning with 40 promising startups poised to lead the future.
This event went beyond a mere launch, filled with diverse programs designed to support the practical growth of startups. First, top experts from the venture investment industry spoke, sharing in-depth effective fundraising know-how and successful global investment attraction strategies for startups. Through this, the companies were able to deepen their understanding of the investment ecosystem and explore practical methods for attracting investment.
The highlight of the launch ceremony was the 'Expert Networking by Sector' program. Leading investment firms such as Nextwave Venture Partners, SID Partners, and Genaxis, as well as representatives from prominent domestic conglomerates like SK ecoplant, LG Electronics, and Noroo Paint, were in attendance. In addition, patent experts from Dodam Patent Law Firm and On Patent Law Office, global expansion support organizations like NH Investment & Securities, On & Up Partners, and KOTRA Gyeonggi Headquarters, along with marketing and management support experts from G&S Partners and the Korea Management Consulting Association, all gathered to serve as strong facilitators for the startups.
The selected companies had small, intensive meetings with experts, tailored to their individual concerns and goals, covering areas such as investment attraction, collaboration with large and mid-sized companies, domestic and international patent acquisition strategies, global market entry roadmaps, and strengthening business capabilities. At these meetings, startups received customized mentoring and practical solutions, marking an important turning point for their business growth.
An official from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center stated, "Through this launch ceremony, we have forged a strong connection for startups to advance towards investors, large corporations, and a broader global market." He emphasized, "To ensure the Didimdol Global R&D program creates a truly successful case, we will concentrate all our capabilities to maximize startups' R&D and commercialization capabilities and actively support their global expansion."
The 'Didimdol Global R&D Program' is a core initiative that comprehensively supports startups with technological innovation capabilities, strengthening their R&D and commercialization capabilities, and ultimately enabling them to achieve a successful leap in the global market. Starting with this launch ceremony, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center will spare no continuous support to enable participating companies to create brilliant achievements on the world stage.
