A venue for innovative technological cooperation to address the climate crisis opened in Pangyo. 'Climate Tech Seminar ON,' hosted by Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation on the 25th, intensively highlighted the growth potential through open innovation among technology-based startups.
This seminar, under the theme of 'Global, Private, and Public Cooperation for Climate Tech Startups through Open Innovation,' featured experts from various fields as speakers, providing cooperation strategies and networking opportunities based on practice-oriented cases.
KOICA presented a path for startups to contribute to solving social problems in developing countries while simultaneously expanding into global markets through its CTS-TIPS program. UN CTCN shared strategies for establishing a foundation for international cooperation using global technology networks, emphasizing the importance of technology transfer and partnerships. The Presidential Commission on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth introduced government-led public cooperation cases like 'Net Zero Challenge X,' explaining the role of public programs in supporting technology demonstration and market verification for startups.
Cooperation cases from private large corporations were also richly presented. SK Innovation, LG Sciencepark, SK ecoplant, and others shared their successful partnership experiences and cooperation know-how with startups, including ESG-based open innovation strategies, market development, and technology demonstration, emphasizing the value of co-prosperity.
Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation stated that this seminar contributed to the expansion of the open innovation collaboration ecosystem, and highlighted that visible results, such as enhanced global recognition and successful overseas contracts, have already been achieved through support for participation in 'France VivaTech 2025'. The Center added that it will continue to provide opportunities for climate tech startups to expand globally, and actively develop programs that support practical growth strategies and networking.
