An important stage has been set to illuminate the future of Gyeongbuk's agri-food startups. Gyeongbuk Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (Gyeongbuk CCEI), in collaboration with Daegu University Startup Support Foundation and the Korea Agri-Food Venture Investment Association, successfully hosted the "2025 Gyeongbuk Agri-Food Startup IR" event on April 24th. This event is being hailed as a strategic stepping stone to significantly expand investment attraction opportunities for local agri-food startups and build an innovative agri-food ecosystem. Prior to the event, the three organizations signed a tripartite business agreement, laying a solid foundation to strengthen systematic support and investment linkage for agri-food startups. This demonstrates a strong commitment to establishing a robust support system that enables startups to achieve sustained growth. At the main event, eight promising startups with innovative ideas, ranging from sustainable agriculture to functional foods and smart farm technologies, delivered passionate IR pitches, garnering keen interest from investors. Each company clearly presented its unique technological capabilities, market potential, and future growth prospects, raising expectations for investment attraction. Beyond mere investment attraction, a venue for exchange also unfolded. On-site, companies, investors, and representatives from relevant organizations engaged in active networking, having a valuable time exploring diverse synergies such as discussing cooperation projects, mentoring, and information exchange. In-depth exchanges among experts, including venture capitalists and startup accelerators in the agri-food sector, became an opportunity to share the latest industry trends and investment strategies. Lee Moon-rak, CEO of Gyeongbuk CCEI, stated, "Through this IR event, I hope Gyeongbuk's agri-food startups will gain nationwide investment opportunities and that their innovative technologies and visions become widely known," once again emphasizing the commitment to building a startup ecosystem based on public-private-academic cooperation. The "2025 Gyeongbuk Agri-Food Startup IR" event is evaluated as having successfully played a crucial role as an important platform that practically connects promising startups with the investment ecosystem. Gyeongbuk CCEI plans to consistently continue its IR programs to support the scale-up and successful market entry of local agri-food startups in the future.
