FuturePlay has once again proven its capabilities through innovative IP strategy support. Recently, it achieved the remarkable feat of being selected as an excellent operating company in the '2025 Public-Private Partnership IP Strategy Support Program (CIPO Program)' and receiving the Korea Invention Promotion Association Chairman's Award.
The CIPO program, hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and the Korea Invention Promotion Association, is a key policy where private investment institutions take on the role of Chief Intellectual Property Officer (CIPO) for startups, assisting with overall IP management. FuturePlay, particularly as the operating company for this year's AI and Semiconductor specialized track, has driven the growth of five promising startups: RoAI, Idea Ocean, TDS Innovation, Robos, and Medi-Intech. These companies received comprehensive IP management solutions through close collaboration with Dimension Patent Law Firm, including technology and market analysis, global patent strategy formulation, risk mitigation through prior art searches, and support for overseas expansion.
Jeon Gyeong-jin, FuturePlay's IP Manager, who led the success of this program, was recognized for her contributions and awarded the KIPO Commissioner's Award at the 'ICT Standard Management Awards.'
RoAI, which showed the most remarkable performance among the supported companies, proudly secured first place in the CIPO Networking Day Investment Pitching Competition. Hong Seok-ui, CEO of RoAI, expressed his thoughts, saying, "We gained a deep understanding of the process by which technology is converted into tangible assets, and we were able to significantly strengthen our business negotiation power based on our IP portfolio."
Manager Jeon Gyeong-jin emphasized, "We focused on establishing customized, step-by-step IP strategies tailored to each company's technology and business status," adding, "We will continue to provide IP strategy support to help startups maintain competitiveness even in rapidly changing market environments."
Meanwhile, FuturePlay, which has transitioned to a leadership structure under CEO Kwon Oh-hyung, is contributing to the revitalization of the startup ecosystem by providing comprehensive value-up programs for deep-tech companies, including step-by-step funding design, overseas business development, HR, and PR.
