FortyTwoMaru Accelerates North American Market Entry in New York, Emphasizing AI Reliability
Leading generative AI startup FortyTwoMaru has taken a significant step toward expanding into the North American market. The company is focusing on building global partnerships by participating in the 'UKF KOOM Startup Festival 2025,' held from October 16th to 18th at the Duggal Greenhouse in New York, USA.
This event is part of the '2025 Americas ICT Business Partnership,' co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), and organized by the United Korean Founders (UKF), aiming for active networking between startups and global investors. With over 50 innovative companies, from K-Beauty to deep tech, gathered in one place, FortyTwoMaru plans to capture the market's attention by showcasing its unique AI technology.
At this festival, FortyTwoMaru is primarily showcasing its enterprise AI solution, 'SiteBunny.' SiteBunny is a B2B2C SaaS model that supports interactive relationships with customers, partners, and investors based on corporate websites, and is expected to enhance the efficiency and depth of enterprise communication.
In particular, FortyTwoMaru emphasizes 'ensuring AI reliability' as its core competitive advantage. Leading with its unique Machine Reading Comprehension (MRC) technology, 'MRC42,' which previously secured a joint first place with Google's AI team, the company has also developed and is offering its domain-specific lightweight language model 'LLM42' and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology 'RAG42.' These technologies address not only the inherent hallucination problem of large-scale AI models but also security and high-cost issues. They offer a differentiating factor by supporting an 'enterprise private mode,' allowing AI to be used safely without concerns about internal corporate data leakage.
Ahead of the main event, FortyTwoMaru also participated in the 'Soft-Landing in the U.S: Navigating Opportunities in NY/NJ' seminar held on the 15th at Penn Plaza in New York. At this event, co-hosted by the Korea Artificial Intelligence Software Industry Association (KOSA) and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), FortyTwoMaru shared its North American market entry strategy for its generative AI SaaS model and engaged in meaningful exchanges with local partners and investors.
Donghwan Kim, CEO of FortyTwoMaru, emphasized, "The AI market is rapidly shifting beyond mere technological competition to a 'commercialization competition based on reliability.'" He further stated his ambition, "Using this New York event as an opportunity, we will further strengthen partnerships with local U.S. companies and fully commit to expanding our global market, centered around SiteBunny." FortyTwoMaru's visit to New York is expected to be a significant turning point in writing a new success story in the global market, based on innovative AI technology and reliability.
