EcoNect, an innovative company providing eco-friendly recycle material solutions, has been finally selected for the eco-friendly and energy sector of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' ambitious 'Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project,' signaling its leap forward. Beyond simple waste processing methods, EcoNect's unique circular economy business model, which transforms waste into high-value resources, will now receive national support. Through this selection, EcoNect will secure up to 600 million won in government subsidies, along with 1 billion won in research and development (R&D) funds. This is expected to be a solid foundation for market expansion and accelerating entry into the global market. EcoNect has established itself as a leader in the circular economy by developing innovative recycled raw materials based on domestic and international waste and recycled material databases, and by providing an integrated 'Trash-to-Product' solution that encompasses the entire process from waste generation to finished product manufacturing and post-consumption reuse. As global ESG management and carbon reduction policies strengthen, and demand for recycled material-based products rapidly increases, EcoNect is gaining attention as an optimal partner that simultaneously pursues environmental protection and economic value. With this project selection as momentum, collaborations with domestic large corporations are expected to expand, and exports to the United States, which began last March, are also anticipated to gain further traction. Noh Young-woo, Co-founder and COO of EcoNect, emphasized, "The adoption of eco-friendly materials is no longer an option but a necessity, and waste is the starting point for new resources," adding, "We will devote ourselves to providing practical eco-friendly solutions to domestic and international customers under the active support of the government." Through this project, overseen by the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP), EcoNect's sustainable future is expected to become even brighter.
