Edutech startup Bearable led innovation in future education technology by winning the Gold Prize at the Eduplus Awards during the '2025 Eduplus Week Future Education Expo'. Bearable, which achieved the highest honor by surpassing 8 finalists from among approximately 170 participating companies from home and abroad, received high scores from professional judges and active teacher evaluation panels across six assessment categories: educational effectiveness, technological and future-oriented nature, usability for teacher support, user convenience, information protection, and marketability.
Bearable's award-winning products are 'Myfolio', a student career design platform, and 'Schoolfolio', a tool to assist teachers in writing student records. 'Myfolio' helps students' self-directed career exploration by precisely analyzing their career aspirations, interests, learning activities, and student record data using AI, then proposing customized research topics, reading lists, and guidelines for specific abilities and special achievements.
'Schoolfolio' dramatically reduces the burden of writing student records for teachers, while also contributing to strengthening career design and college admission preparation support within public education. At the expo, over 100 active teachers and experts directly experienced the solution, acknowledging its innovativeness and effectiveness.
Lee Ho-geon, President of the Edutech Society, who participated in the judging, praised Bearable's technology, stating it was "an exemplary case that dramatically improved both the accessibility and efficiency of career education through AI."
Jeong Soo-hyun, CEO of Bearable, explained, "We developed an online AI-based solution to solve the problem where student records, which are important for college admissions, are a huge burden for teachers and lead to private education costs for parents." He added, "It holds great significance that it has been recognized as a necessary solution for both teachers and students in the field," and expressed his ambition to provide high-quality educational opportunities to more students by resolving educational disparities within public education and expanding into the global market.
This Gold Prize win highlighted Bearable's recent achievements. Bearable previously secured SEED investment from CNTTech and was selected for the TIPS program in 2024. The company continues its steady growth both domestically and internationally, including winning the 'Sustainable Startup Award' at 'SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025' held in Tokyo, Japan, last May.
