Dunamu Launches Corporate & Institutional Upbit Custody

Dunamu (operator of Upbit) is officially launching 'Upbit Custody,' a virtual asset custody service for corporate and institutional clients. This launch aims to proactively address the demand for secure and efficient asset storage and management as corporate investment in virtual assets is gradually expanding. The service is designed based on Upbit's unique accumulated storage technology and infrastructure. Upbit Custody prioritizes the highest level of security. All virtual assets entrusted by clients are 100% stored in cold wallets completely isolated from the internet, fundamentally blocking external intrusion threats like hacking. Furthermore, a multi-management system combining MPC (Multi-Party Computation) and DKG (Distributed Key Generation) technologies has been adopted, significantly reducing the possibility of incidents caused by a single key compromise. In terms of functionality, the service provides a customized wallet configuration feature that allows wallets to be segmented and managed according to asset type and operational purpose. This enables corporations and institutions to manage virtual assets more systematically, enhance the efficiency of accounting processes, and strengthen their internal audit response capabilities. Internal control and regulatory compliance capabilities are also fully equipped. The service meets corporate internal control requirements through role-based segregation of duties and sophisticated approval structures. It also establishes Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anomaly Detection System (FDS) to monitor illegal fund flows in real-time. Furthermore, a whitelist-based withdrawal system, compliant with the Travel Rule, will be introduced to proactively block suspicious transactions and security threats.
