DevD 'ZipUp Pay' Wins Urban/Regional Innovation Top Excellence Award
## Devd 'Zipup Pay' Proves FinTech Innovation by Winning Grand Prize at Urban/Regional Innovation Awards FinTech company Devd's rent card payment service 'Zipup Pay' was recognized for its innovation and social contribution by winning the Grand Prize in the Local Vitalization category at the '2025 Korea Urban & Regional Innovation Industry Expo' on the 24th. In particular, it received the HUG Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation President's Award, highly lauded for its contribution to alleviating housing costs and rent burdens for youth and small business owners. Devd previously won a ministerial award at the same competition in 2024, demonstrating consistent performance. This awards ceremony, co-hosted by the Urban Regeneration Industry Promotion Association and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, is a prestigious event that recognizes local governments and private companies contributing to the establishment of urban ecosystems and the development of local economies. Marking its 7th anniversary this year, it saw the participation of over 500 organizations nationwide. Zipup Pay resolves the inconvenience of cash rent payments and maximizes user convenience by supporting simple payment methods like Naver Pay and Kakao Pay, as well as point usage. Furthermore, it offers substantial economic benefits through its low service fee policy and the use of cards with high reward rates, presenting a new alternative for rent payment. Recently, with the accelerated shift from jeonse to monthly rent, the burden of housing costs for youth and single-person households has increased, and managing cash flow for self-employed individuals struggling with high rents has become crucial. In this context, Zipup Pay's usage rate is rapidly increasing. Notably, approximately 86% of all users are from the 2030 generation, proving that this service is meeting the practical needs of the younger generation. Devd plans to lead the digital transformation of the monthly rent payment market and actively expand its business into the real estate fintech sector. It intends to broaden its service scope by launching a B2B platform for large landlords and promoting local economic vitalization projects through collaborations with financial institutions and local governments. Devd successfully completed seed investment this year and was recognized for its growth potential by being selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' TIPS program. It has also firmly established its service security and quality system by acquiring ISO 9001 and 27001 certifications. Kim Ki-tae, CEO of Devd, stated, "Zipup Pay's core role is to genuinely alleviate the financial burden and inconvenience faced by monthly rent households in a rapidly changing real estate market." He further expressed ambitions to "establish ourselves as a leading fintech company that solves various issues arising in the monthly rent market going forward."
