## TheHAIM Announces Construction Innovation with Tower Crane Type Construction 3D Printer An innovative technology set to change the paradigm of construction sites has been born from the domestic startup, TheHAIM. TheHAIM, a specialized 3D printer development company, has finally opened new horizons in construction technology by successfully developing a 'tower crane-type architectural 3D printer' through close industry-academia collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' R&D Collabo support project and Professor Sang-wook Lee's research team at Wonkwang University. This innovative equipment, which overcomes the limitations of existing architectural 3D printers, adopts a tower crane structure to enable free movement along the Z-axis. This means that structures with a wider working radius and greater height can be printed much more efficiently and precisely. Currently, it is possible to print structures of approximately 34 pyeong (112㎡) in a single process, and TheHAIM is accelerating technological advancement to develop equipment capable of constructing large buildings of over approximately 100 pyeong (330㎡) in a single print in the future. Leveraging this technological commercialization, TheHAIM has established a new corporate entity for the development of new businesses based on architectural 3D printers, completing preparations for full-scale entry into the construction market. However, in South Korea, practical limitations arise due to the lack of a building certification and permit system and related regulations. Therefore, TheHAIM plans to primarily explore strategic entry into overseas markets and will fully commit to market development through holding technology demonstrations and expanding global partnerships. A TheHAIM official emphasized that the development of this tower crane-type 3D printer is not just a technological advancement but a turning point that will innovatively elevate the productivity, safety, and environmental friendliness of the construction industry. TheHAIM expressed its ambition to lead the 'digital transformation of architecture' through continuous technological advancement and bold global market expansion, opening a new chapter for future construction.
