DeepX, an innovative company specializing in ultra-low-power AI semiconductors, has been recognized for its innovation on the global stage, having been named to the first list of awardees for the 2025 'MINDS' program selected by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The WEF's MINDS program aims to meticulously evaluate the impact of artificial intelligence technology on actual industries and society, discovering companies that have led significant innovation and social contribution. It is an honor bestowed upon companies that create true change by bridging the gap between AI investment and real-world results.
DeepX elevated its status by standing alongside global companies such as Foxconn, CATL, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Fujitsu, and SAP.
In particular, DeepX was recognized for the unique value of its edge AI chip-based robot vision AI solution, developed in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Lab. This innovative solution received high praise for implementing high-performance AI computing with ultra-low power consumption of less than 5W compared to existing high-performance GPUs, offering unprecedented power efficiency, cost reduction, and achieving optimization for field application.
The WEF expects these awarded companies to play a pivotal role in setting and implementing key global agendas over the next two years, including establishing sustainable supply chains, innovating future infrastructure, developing the digital health sector, and establishing AI governance.
Kim Nok-won, CEO of DeepX, stated, "This award is a triumph that globally recognizes the effectiveness and potential for social contribution of DeepX's technology," and expressed his ambition to "bring valuable change to humanity through sustainable AI that practically works in the field."
Hyun Dong-jin, Executive Director of Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Lab, also added, "Through our collaboration with DeepX, we will deepen research into intelligent robotics solutions leveraging the strengths of on-device AI and contribute to the development of the robotics ecosystem."
