D.CAMP Office Hours, which leads the growth of startups, recorded remarkable achievements in the first half of this year, once again proving itself as a core platform in the startup ecosystem. It provided 1:1 customized mentoring and business matching to 473 startups, and notably facilitated loans and guarantees totaling 7.4 billion KRW, injecting practical growth momentum.
Operating over 1,000 times since 2013, D.CAMP Office Hours closely connects startups with expert networks, centered around three pillars: venture investment, business cooperation, and financial support. Each month, carefully selected expert mentors participate to provide optimized advice to each team, and D.CAMP's continuous follow-up support helps ensure that mentoring leads to actual results.
Diverse opportunities also unfolded in the first half of this year. In January-February, 34 leading domestic VCs provided venture investment mentoring, and in March's 'Finance Week,' 24 financial institution experts participated en masse. In April, 11 large corporate CVCs explored investment and business cooperation, and in May, 17 large and medium-sized enterprises from the Gyeongnam region discussed open innovation. Last month, investment mentoring from 16 VCs and business cooperation sessions with Daekyo and Hanwha Hotels & Resorts were held, demonstrating a substantial lineup every month.
Participating startups expressed high satisfaction, stating, "It's a great help to receive direct comments from experts in various fields." Jeong Hwa-mok, a mentor from Korea Investment Partners, also emphasized the program's effectiveness, calling it "a beneficial time to meet promising, well-prepared companies in one place and connect them to investment."
In July, investment sessions involving 13 VCs, including Coupang and Coolidge Corner Investment, and business cooperation sessions with SoluM, Lotte Global Logistics, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and others, will be held. In August, the 'Public Procurement' theme will be introduced in collaboration with the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Public Procurement Service, while financial support mentoring from major financial institutions such as the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and the Korea Technology Finance Corporation will be operated continuously. D.CAMP Office Hours' journey to support the successful take-off of startups continues.
