Cross E&F's 'Cross Shop' Sells Over 1 Million Units in 6 Months
## 'Cross Shop' Revolutionizing the Lives of Migrant Foreigners, Exceeds 200,000 Orders in Just 6 Months! Fintech startup CrossE&F's online commerce platform 'Cross Shop,' aimed at migrant foreigners, has achieved the astonishing record of 200,000 cumulative orders and 1 million cumulative sales in just six months since its launch. This goes beyond mere numbers, proving that the platform deeply empathizes with the daily lives of foreign residents in Korea and accurately addresses their needs. CrossE&F, which primarily focused on overseas remittance services, paid attention to the everyday inconveniences experienced by migrant foreigners, especially difficulties in online shopping. Complex registration procedures designed for Koreans, search environments that made it hard to find desired products, uncertain product information, and cumbersome exchange/return processes were significant barriers for them. Cross Shop originated from this awareness of the problem. By providing product descriptions and reviews not only in English and Chinese, but also in major Asian languages such as Thai, Vietnamese, and Filipino, it broke down language barriers. Now, migrant foreigners can comfortably obtain shopping information in their native languages and make trustworthy purchases. The product lineup is also a result of deeply understanding the cultural characteristics of migrant foreigners. Handling over 1,300 items from 10 countries including Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and China, it offers frozen and refrigerated ingredients, spices, and even special cuts of beef, pork, and duck that were previously difficult to find in Korea, thereby satisfying the longing of those who miss the taste of home. Shin Won-hee, CEO of CrossE&F, emphasizes, "Cross Shop is more than just a shopping mall; it's a service that solves real problems by reflecting the lifestyles and cultural characteristics of migrant foreigners." Their ultimate goal is to support the 'ordinary yet precious daily life' where customers can make food with their desired ingredients and enjoy it with family and colleagues. In the future, Cross Shop plans to consider selling Ready-To-Eat (RTE) meals, thus carefully accommodating the convenience of migrant foreigners who find it difficult to cook themselves due to their living environments. CrossE&F, which recently secured a Series A investment of 5 billion won, is expected to further expand its lifestyle services for migrant foreigners by linking overseas remittance with online commerce, thereby becoming a reliable partner for those settling in Korean society.
