GREEN-DA Opens the Era of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from Waste Resources: Targeting the Global Market with ISCC EU Certification Acquisition GREEN-DA, which has been producing key raw materials for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) – opening up the future by applying innovative technology to underutilized oils previously considered waste – has successfully obtained ISCC EU (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification EU), a global sustainability and carbon certification system, achieving a significant milestone in its entry into the global market. This signifies that GREEN-DA's unique technology has been recognized for its international standards and value in sustainable energy transition, while also being expected to play a pivotal role in accelerating the eco-friendly transformation of the aviation industry. GREEN-DA has consistently built unique technology to refine waste resources, specifically underutilized oils that were previously discarded, into high-quality bio-aviation fuel raw materials. As a result of these efforts, its recently produced bio-raw material was proven to perfectly meet the strict criteria of the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED II), leading to the acquisition of ISCC EU, the world's most authoritative sustainability certification for biomass-based resources. ISCC EU is more than just a quality certification; it is an international system that meticulously verifies the environmental friendliness, social, and legal compliance throughout the entire process of biomass-based resource production, from initial sourcing to final consumption. Its acquisition is particularly significant because it evaluates various aspects such as greenhouse gas reduction effects, land-use changes, and adherence to social standards. Through this certification, GREEN-DA has received international recognition for meeting both the legality and sustainability requirements for waste resource utilization, serving as strong evidence that GREEN-DA's technology goes beyond simple recycling to genuinely contribute to environmental protection and the establishment of a circular resource economy. GREEN-DA plans to further expand the scope of its sustainable technological capabilities through additional international certifications. The acquisition of ISCC EU certification has provided GREEN-DA with a solid bridgehead for entering the global sustainable fuel market, including Europe. Carbon reduction efforts to combat climate change are intensifying worldwide, and particularly in the aviation industry, the mandatory use ratio of SAF is expanding. At this juncture, GREEN-DA, as a sustainable and verified bio-raw material supplier, has significantly increased its potential for cooperation with global airlines and fuel companies, and is expected to play a key role in the worldwide aviation industry's carbon reduction efforts. Hwang Gyu-yong, CEO of GREEN-DA, expressed his thoughts on this achievement, stating, "I am very proud that our case of creating new value by adding our technology to discarded resources has been recognized internationally." He further presented a strong ambition and vision, saying, "Based on this ISCC EU certification, we will further accelerate our entry into the global SAF fuel market, solidifying our position as a leading company providing sustainable future energy solutions." GREEN-DA will contribute to advancing the future of sustainable aviation through innovation that creates value from waste resources.
