Catenoid, a Video Technology as a Service (VTaaS) company, has officially launched its innovative 'Thumbnail Player' feature on its short-form video platform 'Charlla', aiming to strengthen its e-commerce competitiveness. The 'Thumbnail Player' helps users easily register video-based thumbnails simply by loading their product list. The registered videos automatically loop, conveying product features more intuitively and effectively than static images. Especially, even in a shopping mall environment where multiple products are displayed simultaneously, it ensures a stable user experience without page loading delays. Its effectiveness was clearly demonstrated through a three-month beta test. Video thumbnails increased the click-through rate (CTR) by approximately 6 times compared to image thumbnails, and the number of customers utilizing the feature grew by 41%. 10% of users showed high satisfaction, using this feature exclusively. Currently offered to Cafe24-hosted online stores, the Thumbnail Player is slated for expanded application to various platforms in the future. Catenoid also plans to introduce a 'Widget Player' feature in the future, which will visually highlight multiple videos using design templates. Kim Hyung-suk, CEO of Catenoid, stated, “This is the result of reflecting customer needs to provide consumers with a vivid brand experience even before they enter the product detail page,” and added that the company will continue to provide innovative solutions to help e-commerce operators enhance brand competitiveness and attract consumers through short-form marketing. 'Charlla' is a no-code video service that allows easy utilization of short-form videos without separate development, enhancing conversion rates by adding videos to existing image areas and linking product purchase links, and maximizing marketing efficiency by providing statistics such as video loads and engagements. In just two years since its launch, Charlla has already proven its value, recording over 1,000 shopping mall brand sign-ups and 350% sales growth.
