Caring Day Care Center Busan Suyeong Branch Selected as National Health Insurance Service's Top Institution! Opening a New Horizon for Senior Care
Caring Day Care Center Busan Suyeong Branch, run by Caring, a company specializing in senior care, was honorably selected as a top institution in the '2024 Regular Evaluation of Long-Term Care Service Providers' hosted by the National Health Insurance Service, officially recognizing its highest level of care expertise. This achievement is seen as the culmination of Caring's continuous efforts to innovate and provide personalized, senior-centered services.
The National Health Insurance Service conducts strict regular evaluations every three years with the goal of improving the quality of long-term care services and ensuring beneficiaries' right to choose. Grades from A to E are assigned across five key categories: institution operation, environment and safety, beneficiary rights protection, benefit provision process, and benefit provision results, with only grade A being classified as 'Excellent'. This year, among 9,035 home long-term care institutions nationwide, only 1,971 institutions, representing the top 21.8%, received the excellent grade, and Caring Day Care Center Busan Suyeong Branch passed this difficult gateway, proving its excellence. In particular, it received high evaluations across all three categories – home care, day and night care, and home bathing – solidifying its position as a versatile care institution.
Opened in 2022, Caring Day Care Center Busan Suyeong Branch is a large-scale facility spanning 1018㎡ (approximately 300 pyeong), boasting a comfortable environment that can accommodate over 80 seniors simultaneously. Twenty-five care specialists in various fields are stationed here, providing customized services that consider the unique characteristics of each senior. Beyond day care, it broadly offers beneficiary-centered integrated care services, including home care, home bathing, home nursing, and the operation of a dedicated dementia room for seniors with dementia. To date, accumulated over 500 seniors have experienced warm care here.
In particular, specialized programs that comprehensively consider seniors' cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities are among the strengths of the Busan Suyeong Branch. Professional occupational therapists utilize cutting-edge digital cognitive therapy tools to conduct engaging and effective occupational therapy, and actively support seniors in leading more vibrant and healthier later years through specialized exercise programs aimed at maintaining physical function and promoting health. These meticulous efforts and professional approaches were a significant factor behind its selection as a top institution.
Kim Dae-wang, Head of Caring's Yeongnam Headquarters, emphasized regarding this achievement, "The selection of the Busan Suyeong Branch, the first of Caring's day care centers to be evaluated, as a top institution is highly significant as it externally recognizes our senior care expertise and operational capabilities." He added, "Moving forward, Caring will continue to create exemplary service models as a leading care company in Korea, ensuring that government resources are properly utilized to improve the quality of life for seniors," reaffirming its commitment to a pioneering role in the senior care sector.
Beyond simply operating excellent individual centers, Caring is leading innovation to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the senior care industry as a whole. They have dramatically improved operational efficiency by independently developing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that automates paperwork and data management previously handled manually by care workers. Based on this ERP system, a systematic centralized management and supervision system has been established to ensure that Caring's directly operated branches nationwide operate in strict compliance with the National Health Insurance Service's regular evaluation standards and relevant laws. Such company-wide efforts and innovations are driving the overall quality improvement of the care services provided by Caring.
The selection of Caring Day Care Center Busan Suyeong Branch as a top institution is a result of Caring's philosophy of 'senior-centered, highest-quality care service' shining through. Moving forward, Caring will steadfastly continue its role as a companion for a healthier and more dignified life in old age through continuous research and innovation.
