Four major directly-managed visiting care centers of CareDoc, a total senior care company, officially received recognition for their service excellence by achieving the highest grade, A, in the 2024 regular evaluation of long-term care facilities for home-based services. This evaluation, conducted every three years by the National Health Insurance Service, aims to improve the quality of long-term care services in Korea and is based on 34 indicators across 5 categories, including facility operation, environment and safety, beneficiary rights protection, and service provision process and outcomes. In this evaluation, which targeted a total of 9,035 home-based care facilities, CareDoc's directly-managed branches in Gwanak, Songpa, Incheon, and Busan secured the top A grade, ranking in the top 20%, proving their specialized expertise in senior care. This signifies CareDoc's successful integration of its accumulated know-how across caregiving, nursing, and housing into its service operations. CareDoc Visiting Care Centers prioritize enhancing the quality of life for beneficiaries and provide customized care services specialized for each region. Center managers directly visit homes to meticulously assess the needs of beneficiaries and their guardians, and based on this, establish individualized and optimized care plans, adhering to a beneficiary-centric operational approach. Specialized programs at each center add to CareDoc's unique differentiation. The Songpa and Busan branches, which received A grades, consistently conduct caregiver competency enhancement training by inviting external expert instructors, while the Gwanak branch strengthens its expertise by providing cognitive programs utilizing professional educational tools to all beneficiaries. CareDoc strives to apply a standardized system, imbued with its senior care know-how, across all its branches. Through its long-term care business unit's own system, it provides continuous guidance and inspections, thereby achieving high-quality care services. Furthermore, it discusses operational strategies through monthly center manager meetings and strengthens on-site communication through discussions with caregivers, thus pursuing continuous competency enhancement. CareDoc, currently operating 8 directly-managed branches and 16 partner branches in areas like Gwanak, Songpa, Incheon, and Busan, plans to expand its partner branches to 40 by 2025, further solidifying its nationwide network. In the long term, it plans to diversify its long-term care facility business models beyond visiting care, to include day and night care centers and nursing homes. Park Jae-byung, CEO of CareDoc, stated, “The acquisition of this A grade holds significant meaning as it officially recognizes the high-quality care services of CareDoc Visiting Care Centers,” and expressed his ambition, saying, “We will provide services that satisfy seniors, guardians, and caregivers alike, minimizing care gaps in an aging society, and leading the qualitative standards of care services.” Meanwhile, CareDoc encompasses total senior care services, not only visiting care but also hospital care, caregiver matching, and high-end residential care facilities like ‘CareDoc Care Home.’ In collaboration with Kakao Healthcare, starting in June, they will also introduce a new hospital care reservation service through the KakaoTalk chatbot ‘CareChat.’
