Bluepoint Hosts Demo Day for 12 Companies Leading AI Innovation
Breaking away from traditional frameworks, accelerator Bluepoint Partners successfully concluded 'Avalanche,' a private demo day exclusively focused on attracting investment. Held on the 16th in Songpa-gu, Seoul, this event prioritized actual follow-up investment for startups by inviting only 300 investment firms, instead of the usual public event with around 1,000 attendees. The theme of the demo day, 'Avalanche,' encapsulated the meaning that small changes initiated by AI would possess massive and uncontrollable ripple effects like an avalanche, revolutionizing diverse fields such as energy, healthcare, and basic science. Yongkwan Lee, CEO of Bluepoint, emphasized in his keynote, "AI will influence other businesses and technologies, and those technologies, in turn, will develop AI through interaction, thereby creating immense changes across all industries," presenting the infinite possibilities of the AI era. Twelve innovative startups, invested in by Bluepoint within the last three years, showcased their industrial innovation and ripple effects through AI on this day. In the environmental sector, Plascyl (chemical recycling of waste plastics), Beyond Capture (CO2 capture), and Greenefl (new material from agricultural by-products) presented, while First Lab (ultrasound technology) participated in industrial technology. In the AI platform domain, Lemong (AI agent for the food service industry), Pulix (hyper-personalized food), ALT.A (last-mile transportation), and ImpacktiveAI (enterprise AI demand forecasting) shared their innovative cases. Additionally, diverse deep-tech companies such as Sinsungo (constant temperature cold chain), Anti-Gravity (medical fashion), Xup (golf course management), and MSI Labs (next-generation nuclear power plant engineering) presented their blueprints for the AI era. Through this private IR-focused event, Bluepoint once again demonstrated its proven deep-tech investment expertise. The case of Moovin, an AI lidar motion capture company that participated in last year's demo day and successfully attracted 4 billion won in Pre-A investment despite the investment downturn, clearly illustrates the excellence of Bluepoint's portfolio. Having invested in over 390 startups since its establishment in 2014, firmly establishing itself as a leading accelerator in Korea, Bluepoint plans to continue exploring new methodologies to contribute to the value enhancement of the early-stage startup ecosystem, maintaining its role as a reliable partner in the journey of innovation.
