Baedal Minjok Declares Leap into Tech Company
Woowa Brothers has declared a major transformation from being a simple delivery platform to a company leading technological innovation. CEO Kim Beom-seok recently presented the 'Baemin 2.0' vision, based on 'End to End Delivery' that takes responsibility for the entire process from order to delivery, at the 'Woowa Tech Conference 2025' (Woowacon), expressing a strong commitment towards a technology-centric future. CEO Kim defined Baemin 2.0's goal as "an indispensable delivery platform that provides everything you want in real-time" and unveiled a new brand mission: 'Keeping everything in the world from getting cold.' This is a comprehensive promise to not only maintain the temperature of food but also the passion and warmth of relationships of all participants on the platform, and furthermore, the hope in life. The core of this vision is comprehensive technological innovation, including artificial intelligence (AI) and robots. CTO Ko Myung-seok announced at Woowacon that the company is operating MCP servers to enable all members to utilize AI, aiming to transform into an 'AI-native company.' In particular, 'Mureobosae,' the in-house AI data analysis service, is maximizing internal knowledge utilization by applying RAG-MCP technology. Furthermore, the delivery robot 'Dilly' is already operating real delivery services for B-Mart customers in the Gangnam area, demonstrating high technical capabilities in real-life environments, such as recognizing and crossing crosswalks through autonomous driving using camera and LiDAR sensors. CEO Kim Beom-seok emphasized the 'flywheel' growth strategy, where customers, partners, and riders interact in a virtuous cycle, explaining that positive changes can only be truly felt when all these processes are connected in real-time through technology. This year, Woowa Brothers is focusing on improving service quality and participant experience under the goal of 'Reignite the momentum to be loved again.' Woowacon, held for its 6th year, successfully took place under the theme 'Delivering the Future,' with approximately 2,000 developers and technology experts attending to share the latest technology trends and know-how across more than 40 sessions in 11 fields, including backend, mobile app, AI/ML, and robotics. This is part of Woowa Brothers' continuous effort to contribute to knowledge sharing and growth within the IT ecosystem. CTO Ko Myung-seok pledged to continue sharing the journey of creating the future through technology.
