AWS has officially announced the expansion of its Marketplace to the Korean market, opening new horizons for domestic technology companies to enter the global stage. Now, Korean companies can directly sell their solutions to customers worldwide through their local entities, ushering in business opportunities on a different level than before. AWS Marketplace is already a vast digital ecosystem connecting millions of customers worldwide, featuring over 20,000 solutions from more than 5,000 sellers. With this expansion into Korea, innovative domestic Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) such as Neosapience, Saltlux, and Superb AI can easily introduce their solutions to the global market. In addition, channel partners like LG CNS, MegazoneCloud, and SK C&C can leverage the Channel Partner Private Offer (CPPO) program to provide customized services to enterprise customers worldwide, based out of their Korean entities. Customer convenience has also significantly improved. The ability to choose between Korean Won and US Dollars for payment further lowers barriers to global transactions. Matt Yanchyshyn, VP of AWS Marketplace and Partner Services, emphasized that the Korean expansion is a crucial opportunity for domestic ISVs and channel partners to connect with global customers, grow their businesses, and accelerate innovation. In fact, according to a Forrester Consulting study, AWS Marketplace sellers have achieved remarkable results, including an average 80% increase in deal size and a 40% reduction in sales cycles. Domestic companies have also expressed great anticipation. Lee Yum-dong, CEO of MegazoneCloud, stated it would be "a significant turning point for their business." Kim Tae-soo, CEO of Neosapience, mentioned future growth through "expanded access to global customers." Notably, Lee Kyeong-il, CEO of Saltlux, highlighted the significance of this expansion, stating that their large language model (LLM) 'LUXIA' can now be more quickly utilized by global customers through AWS's streamlined purchasing process. This expansion of AWS Marketplace into Korea is expected to be a strong foothold for domestic technology companies to strengthen their global competitiveness and elevate the status of K-Tech.
