Airbility, an innovative next-generation electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developer, has been officially selected for the '2025 SME/Venture Enterprise Middle East Expansion Support Program', organized by the Saudi Arabian government and major investment institutions, thereby laying a strong foundation for its entry into the Middle Eastern market.
In the fierce in-person evaluation held on the 27th of last month, Airbility proudly joined the list of only 29 companies out of over 100 participating enterprises. This program was designed to discover and support promising domestic small and venture enterprises that will lead Saudi Arabia's four major new growth engine sectors, including AI, bio, content, and smart cities.
During the evaluation process, Airbility effectively presented the innovativeness and potential of its unique 'High-Speed AI eVTOL-based Platform'. This platform boasts extensive application possibilities, including rapid response and emergency logistics transport during disasters in smart cities, support for large-scale Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, provision of Counter-UAS (C-UAS) solutions against illegal drones, and linkage with future tourism and mobility services.
Airbility emphasized that its eVTOL solution can efficiently address the complex transportation demands of large-scale events and smart cities through low-noise, eco-friendly air mobility. Furthermore, it stressed its core capability to swiftly transport essential supplies such as relief goods, medicines, and military supplies during emergencies.
Ahn Min-young, COO of Airbility, expressed a strong commitment to actively pursue localization cooperation and practical technology demonstration in Saudi Arabia's ambitious smart city projects and the broader Middle East region, following this selection.
Airbility plans to participate in major exhibitions in the Middle East region in the second half of this year, including Saudi SADEX, BIBAN, Dubai Airshow, and GITEX, to showcase its innovative eVTOL technology and solidify its position in the Middle Eastern market. With this selection as a starting point, Airbility is preparing for a new take-off in the Middle East region as a leader in the future air mobility market.
