Innovation in Talent Assessment for the AI Era: Gooroom's 'AISA' Sets a New Standard in the Developer Recruitment Market
With the advent of generative AI, the global development environment has undergone unprecedented changes. The era has arrived where practical competitiveness can no longer be guaranteed by mere algorithmic implementation skills. While leading overseas tech companies like Microsoft and Shopify are already incorporating AI utilization skills into employee evaluations, a growing demand for objective criteria and solutions to measure practical AI utilization capabilities has also emerged in Korea.
In response to these demands of the times, Gooroom, which operates the online developer assessment platform DEVTH, has officially launched 'AISA' (AI Skills Assessment), an innovative solution that measures practical AI utilization capabilities. AISA is expected to open new horizons in talent assessment, optimized for the rapidly changing AI-centric development environment.
Clearly recognizing the limitations of existing algorithm-centric coding tests, AISA provides scenario-based assessments that actively utilize AI tools in real development environments. Beyond simple accuracy and speed, it comprehensively evaluates the ability to collaborate with AI itself, going beyond mere results to include the level of optimizing questions for AI, token efficiency, and prompt engineering capabilities. The ability to find the most efficient solutions within limited resources is emerging as an essential skill for developers today. Gooroom has introduced the industry's first evaluation standard to quantitatively measure these AI utilization capabilities.
AISA supports major latest LLM models such as ChatGPT and Claude, and plans to expand its support to include Google Gemini in the second half of 2025. In terms of security, comprehensive multi-layered security systems and data leakage prevention systems have been implemented to ensure the protection of corporate customers' sensitive information. DEVTH's proven testing know-how, built on over 1,000 client companies, underpins AISA's stable assessment infrastructure.
Ryu Sung-tae, CEO of Gooroom, emphasized, "Today, with AI becoming an essential companion in the development field, objectively measuring developers' practical AI utilization capabilities is key to discovering future talent," adding, "AISA will present new competency standards to the domestic developer ecosystem and drive growth."
Furthermore, Gooroom plans to further expand the scope of comprehensive project-based AI utilization skill assessment by adding AI utilization competency assessment solutions for non-development roles such as marketing, planning, and policy starting from the second half of 2025. The launch of AISA is expected to go beyond merely releasing a solution; it will present a new paradigm for talent recruitment and development suited for the AI era, significantly contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of domestic companies.
